Preservation program for tangible and intangible culture and heritage (the restoration initiative of the Faraj Yusr Mosque)
The project to restore the “Faraj Yusr” mosque is one of the first initiatives of the non-profit Ba Foundation in the cultural field. The initiatives of the Cultural Foundation emerged to take care of the national heritage, through the restoration of historical buildings, and everything related to the national heritage of fashion, performing arts, and others. The program also aims to develop a mechanism to preserve it; Because of its great social impact in strengthening and consolidating the national identity of the Kingdom.
Building upon the Foundation’s interest in the national heritage and architectural heritage, it cooperated with specialists to restore the Faraj Yusr Mosque, located within the scope of the Historic Jeddah Project, to preserve its ancient design. It is the first initiative of the Foundation in the cultural field.
