تعتبر سلاحف منقار الصقر والسلاحف الخضراء من الأنواع المهددة بالانقراض، وذلك لمجموعة من الأسباب منها شبك صيد السمك، وأكل بيض السلاحف، والمخلفات البلاستيكيه وغيرها من الأسباب. عليه، تكمن فرصة للعمل المشترك بحماية أماكن تعشيشها والحفاظ عليها وحمايتها من التعدي والصيد. بالإضافة إلى العمل مع مصنع إسنت ينبع لزيادة مساهمتهم في الحفاظ على المنطقة بما أنها مجاورة لمصنعهم
